The importance of Glutathione

Glutathione is produced by the liver and nerve cells in the central nervous system. Glutathione has over 400 functions and 15 of those functions are critical for all life on Earth. Glutathione helps to remove toxins, break down and combat free radicals, support immune functions, regenerate vitamins C and E, activates enzymes, helps the liver and gallbladder process fat, is the SOLE transfer agent of oxygen from the blood to the cells, protects and repairs the mitochondrial DNA, and many more.

Free radicals are unstable molecules that form in response to factors like your diet, excessive physical activity, and environmental toxins.

When there are more free radicals present than antioxidants, oxidative cell damage occurs. This causes inflammation, which results in serious health issues such as cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes, hormone imbalances, Alzheimer's disease, and many other diseases.

For our household, we chose to go with Govvi Boost Glutathione. It is an extremely unique liposomal supplemental glutathione, with N-Acetyl-Glutamine to turn on your body's natural production as well - and contains trace minerals like Zinc that get used up in the process of glutathione supplementation. You can also boost glutathione through diet by consuming spinach, avocado, or asparagus. Glutathione tends to decrease an age and can also become depleted by consuming Tylenol, and is a big indicator as to why you keep getting sick if your liver is not properly supported. At any point we could all use a boost of glutathione, whether you supplementing it or eating foods that are rich and glutathione it's better to do some thing than nothing.

I've included a medical journal “The importance of glutathione in human disease” and my wellness link if you'd like to learn more about the brand glutathione we use for our family.
